BDQ Holdings, SA is a proudly Mozambican company that has grown from a small reprography shop to a diversified business group with interests spanning telecommunications, energy, financial services, printing, and event production. Founded in 2003 by Belmiro Destino Quive, BDQ Holdings has continually adapted to meet the dynamic needs of Mozambique's economy, driving innovation, creating jobs, and contributing to the nation's development.
BDQ Holdings began its journey as a reprography business in Maputo, providing affordable printing and copying services to students and local businesses. With just three employees and a clear focus on customer service, BDQ established itself as a trusted name in the local community.
Key Milestone: BDQ opened its first printing shop, offering photocopying, document scanning, and printing services.
Recognizing the growing demand for professional printing and branding services, BDQ expanded its operations by launching BDQ Gráfica. The new division offered high-quality branding, serigraphy, and digital printing services to companies and individuals across Mozambique.
Key Milestone: BDQ Gráfica becomes a market leader in Mozambique, offering a range of services from reprography to large-format printing for businesses and events.
As part of its commitment to sustainable development, BDQ Holdings entered the renewable energy sector by establishing BDQ Energia. This move aimed to address Mozambique’s growing energy needs and promote sustainable energy solutions through large-scale solar projects.
Key Milestone: BDQ Energia launches its first solar energy projects, including the Salamanga Solar Power Plant and Chibata Solar Power Station, contributing to Mozambique's clean energy goals.
In 2013, BDQ Holdings diversified into the event production sector, establishing BDQ Produções to manage corporate events, concerts, and cultural festivals. BDQ Produções quickly gained recognition for its ability to deliver world-class events featuring local and international talent.
Key Milestone: BDQ Produções organizes its first major concert, featuring renowned international artists like George Benson and Marcus Miller, setting new standards for entertainment in Mozambique.
Building on its success, BDQ Holdings ventured into the telecommunications industry with the creation of BDQ Mobile, offering mobile services to urban and rural areas across Mozambique. The company aimed to bridge the digital divide by providing affordable connectivity to underserved communities.
Key Milestone: BDQ Mobile begins deploying rural mobile sites, expanding network coverage to remote areas and bringing reliable communication services to thousands of Mozambicans.
In 2020, BDQ Holdings embraced the digital finance revolution by launching QiPaga, a digital payment platform offering mobile financial services such as money transfers, bill payments, and mobile airtime purchases. The same year, BDQ Mobile became a licensed mobile operator, further enhancing its presence in the telecommunications sector.

In 2024, BDQ Holdings expanded its financial services by establishing BDQ Microcredito, a platform offering microcredit solutions to individuals and small businesses.
